How to use the SEPAL-PPI database.
On the Home page, you can see all available species. Click on a species card to view its protein-protein interaction predictions.
On each species page, use the search bar to find specific proteins. You can:
AT1G01010.1) to find all interactions involving that protein.AT1G01010.1,AT1G01020.1) to find a specific interaction.Use the filter controls to narrow down results:
Click on any protein ID in the results table to view its details, including sequence information and interaction partners.
Click the "View" button in the Interpretability column to see residue-level attention weights for a protein pair. The attention visualization shows which residues are most important for the predicted interaction, with options for different color schemes and attention head selection.
When available, PDB structure files and other data can be downloaded from the Downloads section on each species page.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Protein 1 / Protein 2 | Identifiers of the two proteins in the predicted interaction pair. |
| Ensemble Probability | The combined prediction score from all models (0-1). Higher values indicate stronger predicted interaction. |
| Prediction | Binary classification: Positive (predicted to interact) or Negative. |
| Model Details | Individual model probabilities and their ensemble weights. |
| Attention Weights | Per-residue importance scores from the SEPAL attention mechanism. |
